Ford 10.5 axle bolt torque

This is our rear axle truss for the for sterling 10.5 axle (99-16). This is a low profile truss design for adaptability and strength. The truss is 31″ wide and 6″ in height from top of axle to top of truss. The main top plate is a one piece design cut from 1/4″ material and bent 4 times. The slower gusset material is 3/16″. If damaged, remove from rear axle housing by tapping alternately (with a brass drift of suitable length) on each side of rear axle pinion bearing cups to prevent rear axle pinion bearing cups from cocking in rear axle housing bore. The Dana 50 uses larger axle shafts, u-joints, and locking hubs than the Dana 44HD. The Dana 50 TTB 3rd member (housing) will bolt to the Dana 44 beam, but you can’t swap any of the other parts to your Dana 44.
